Funny Vow Examples

"Marissa, I love you with all my heart. I have been thankful for these past two years that you were not the best driver on that fateful day. Stopping in the middle of a busy road to see if everyone was okay, there I met the woman who is standing before me today. When we started dating, I gained a family, a woman who loves me, and an adorable whippet—both of whom I adore with all my heart. We have survived trials and tribulations, from floods and fires to differing political views, we have pulled through.

We are survivors and with our perseverance and dedication, there is nothing we can't accomplish or overcome.

I promise to take care of you even when you get food poisoning on New Year's Eve. I promise I will unclog the shower even though only one of us has long hair. Marissa, I love you unconditionally and always will."

"Devin Lee, it is impossible for me to put into words the passionate and infinite embrace you have on my heart. You make me a full person. Committing the rest of my life to you is actually pretty easy because without you I am nothing. As we begin our life together in front of those whom we are closest to, I make the following vows: I vow to wake up every morning and thank God that he gave me you, my perfect woman, and I vow to be your steady rock in turbulent times. I vow to put your needs before my own.

I vow to sell my tacky furniture. I vow to watch reruns of Gilmore Girls and Friends.

I vow to be the man that you inspire me to be and the man that you deserve. Finally, I vow to spend every day I have left on this Earth showering you with a zealous love and a faithful commitment. A love that many waters cannot quench, a love that floods cannot drown."

"Kristen, as the cliché says, you showed up when I was least expecting you. I intend to love you, hold you, and grow very, very old with you. These are my promises: I promise to always be there when you have troubles, and to know that sometimes simply letting you talk about your problems is enough. I promise to be the most dependable person in your life. I promise you that laughter will always be commonplace in our house. I promise to do my best to age gracefully in body and soul and not to become a cranky old man.

I promise, from this day forward, to live my life as a member of a band and not a solo artist.

I promise to lead and follow accordingly and to keep our relationship in good balance. To quote a favorite writer, 'You fill up all those empty spaces.' For that I am grateful, and every day you will see that appreciation."

"Dennis, I am truly blessed to be a part of your life, which as of today becomes our life together. I promise to encourage your dreams because that is what makes you so unique. I promise to celebrate the joy of every day with you. I promise to stand by your side through life's most joyous moments and challenging ones. I promise to be kind, patient, and forgiving. I promise to always honour your passion for hockey.

I promise to always remember that laughter is life's sweetest creation, and I will never stop laughing with you.

But most of all, I promise to be your true companion always, for one lifetime with you could never be enough."

“Rena, it goes without saying, but I’ll say it anyway….. I love you. I love you more than anyone I’ve ever loved anyone else. You make me smile and laugh, and you help me make the most of life. Your energy and enthusiasm for the things you love and utter derision for the things you dislike make every day spent with you a joy. Though we have been partners for less two years, it feels like we have been together forever, in the best way! If this is what forever with you feels like, I can’t wait to ACTUALLY spend forever with you. Forever is a very long time and with that comes all the lumps and bumps of life. We will have hard times ahead of us but we will work through them together as we always have in the past. I promise you that I will do my absolute best when solving life’s problems with you, no matter what they may be.

I have to say, when I saw you on Tinder and swiped right, I never expected that in a couple of short years and during a global pandemic, I would be getting married to the love of my life after having the most amazing baby. Two years ago, I would never have dreamed of having a baby, as my family can certainly attest to, but now that’s my reality with you and I couldn’t be happier! You are an amazing mother and I am lucky to be able to have you as my wife from today onwards.

Serena, sorry… Rena I promise to be there for you and for Grayson through thick and thin. I promise to stay up with Grayson when he doesn’t sleep, and get up early to let you sleep in. I promise to always deal with the spiders, no matter how “huge” they are. I promise to help you with work, despite your protests and to go get you snacks whenever you want them. I promise to always make you coffee when you give me ‘the look’. I promise to always tell you how beautiful you are. I promise to take off your shoes after an all-day rehearsal and to give you foot rubs and massages, even when you don’t ask.

Rena, I can’t wait for you to be my wife and take this massive next step with you (despite your teeny tiny legs). I love you from the bottom of my heart”

Louis, you are my best friend and my everything. You are the kindest person I have ever known, you are so supportive of me, and you share my wicked sense of humour. These are only some of the many reasons that I love you. We both know that you’re super slow to come around on things, so it’s kind of fitting that I’m super fast. After our very first date, I came home to Mum asking “Is he the one?”, and I could say with real confidence that “yes, you were”.

I love that we are so in sync, it is so rare for us not to be on the same page. Some of my favourite times with you have been just going on long drives and discovering new music. I also love that we can nerd out over time signatures and key changes together. I especially loved when you couldn’t work out the timing of Teacher’s Pet, and I worked it out, and then rubbed it in your face that your music degree is just a fancy napkin.

You are the most fantastic daddy to our son, and I couldn’t have asked for a better father for my son. Seeing you play with him, doing anything you possibly can to make him laugh, cuddling him, reading to him and feeding him, makes me love you so much more.

We certainly have been through some tough times, namely my pregnancy, but you stuck by me every step of the way and were always the one person that could make me feel better. You and Grayson are the light of my life and coming home to you both and waking up to you every morning makes me so incredibly happy.

I promise to always support you, as well as you support me. I will always let you pursue your hobbies, and pretend to enjoy them when you tell me about the latest DnD book or new ‘light up’ dice. I promise to always tell you when you’ve got stuff in your teeth, and to always be the Cappy to your Mario. I also vow to always buy your favourite oat bars when I find them at the supermarket, and to not kiss you after I’ve eaten mint chocolate.

Most importantly, I vow to always be there for you, through thick and thin, through job offers and lost work, through both difficult and amazing rehearsals, through both happy and sad times. I can’t wait to find a suitable home with you in the near future, to expand our little family, and just be super freakin’ domestic with you, for the rest of forever.
